Copyrights: Register or Not?
One last question before I sit for my test:
Do you have to register your web page with a copyright office?
My exam cram book says I do and so doesn't the cramsession at brainbuzz (but these are both written by the same author). But, I've come across some other sources that say there is no registration required.
I would appreciate any input on this.
Thanks!!

My guess is you would have to register if you want to, e.g., be able to sue in Federal court. Otherwise, you are suppose to have
copyright rights w/o registering (I know this
doesn't seem to make sense but it's what I
can discern from the available material).
Others, please advise.
Thanks,
Cert Itch

No registration is required. If you write something, the copyright is automatically yours. Of course, it wouldn't hurt to put a date on it and mail copies to several people just in case someone tries to plagiarise it. This way you can have evidence that you came up with it when you said you did.
