MCSD Qualification

Can anyone tell me from an employers point of view, how beneficial it is to have an MCSD on your Resume?

I may not 100% accurate on this one.
but if I were an employer I'd think of the following:
1. MCSD proves you that you know the stuffs (Microsoft VB/VC++/SQLserver)
2. MCSD is not just another cert, since you can't just memorize the content...but you have to DO the real stuffs..
3. MCSD makes an employer more valuable as well.

btw, I am pursuing this MCSD (provided I have enough free time

Thanks Bootdata - sounds like its "the go" then.

Would you recommend any other courses that an MCSD'er should have on his/her resume?

I would recommend XML, XSL (XSLT, XPath). They are very popular in the field now, but not covered by any MCSD certifications...

XML is something that I would like to get in to. Do you know of any official courses that are available?

You can get an idea on what XML is all about and where it's used/can be used from numerous Microsoft conferences and seminars (which are usually free). All the rest can be found on websites...
Let me know if you need links to good XML/XSL websites
