Have been told that the administrator track is going to be updated in jun, and that it will update from win NT to win 2000.. I have been told that Some other changes will be made too..
will it be a waste of time if i took the administrator exams now?
I am thinking that the best thing I can do, is to wait until it is update since I'm stuying for the MCSE 2000 title..
I'm already Master CIW Designer, and is wondering what will happen in jun when the update is going to happen... It's not long since it was updated from the version 3... I'm starting to get a bit scared.. Things is happening so fast that I'm a bit confused about what to do... Will my recently passed Master Ciw Designer cert be outdated in this year?? If that is a matter of fact, shame on you CIW... You are scareing me from takeing your other certs...
I will also say that the 'cert-paper' I got when passing the Site Designer exam was looking a bit inexpensive! Got a paper who only told that I was a CIW Professional, but didn't tell anything about eighter it was a Site designer cert or some other cert..!?
Since I'm going for the Master Ciw Administrator certs, will I get an identical paper!????
Is this going to be a joke???
In that case, i will probably choose another cert provider..
I actually could show people the Site Designer Cert Paper and tell them that I'm a CIW Security Professional...
*waiting for a reply*
For those of you that have taken any of the Aministrator certs, did you get much uestions about the different operating systems?
Can you give me some examples?
Thanks

Dude
Dont Stress. If you can pass the Exams then take them. Do not wait. CIW does not pull that Microsoft BS where a cert is dropped every 3 weeks. For instance 3 version exams were retired, but the cert was not, why? Because the skills are still valid. CIW is like CompTia in the way that your certs last forever and a day. Which is the way it should be. Plus even though the new courseware is comming out you can still take the exams you are studying for. For Instance again, I took FOundations, Site DEs, and Ecomm in 99, early 99 like right after the program came out. My certs are as good as yours, different criteria in the tests sure, but the fundamentals are the same, and CIW expects me to keep up my skill sets, and the industry expects me to keep up my skill sets. SO dont worry, study, take your tests for the classes you are working on, and live in peace and harmony. : > )
