Hi Shiv,
Exam Cram is a pretty good book if you already have some knowledge of NT and just need to fill in the details. I've also taken training classes (last year) on the tests. I've taken Networking Essentials and I'm going to write Workstation this Friday and hopefully Server next week. I'm currently using exam essentials to study (www.certify.com) for workstation. I didn't know about them to study for Net Essentials, but I did find a lot of good brain dumps to use as a study guide. Net Essentials is A LOT of memorization, know your OSI model, cable lengths and types, know how NT/Win9X interacts with IBM and Novell clients. It wsa a very hard test to take, but now that I have I find that taking the practice tests for Workstation, I know a lot of the anwers BECAUSE I took Net. Essentials first.
Just my two cents, hope this helps.
Good luck in your exams!

Hello Shiv, well first off only these three of the four core exams for MCSE will give you MCP status, they are Workstaion 70-073 Server 70-067 and Server in the Enterprise 70-068. Workstation is supposed to be the easier of the three exams (according to the knowledgable ones) then Server and finally Server in the Enterprise. So I would suggest you do a little research and decide which exam content you fill would best benifit your goals and go for it. My two cents worth!!!! Good luck which ever way you decide to go.

If you get the Microsoft Windows NT Technical Support Training Kit(ISBN 1-57231-833-3) it comes with 120 day eval copies of NT and Workstation. The training covers both Server and Workstation. If you don't have a server at work, you should really set up one at home. I set one up on a replaceable hard drive so I didn't mess with my existing hard drive. Just put it in when I wanted to study. I am a visual kind of person and it helped to go to the tab or tool and get the touch and feel of it while I was reading about it. It also comes with a CDROM with simulations on it, so you could see the different RAID set ups in Disk Administrator, and not go to the expense of buying two or three hard drives.
Look around on the web for the Training Kit, I paid $25 for mine at an outlet mall book store. The suggested retail is $199 but prices should be coming down because the test is being retired. A good site I have found for searching for the best prices for books is www.price-hunter.net . All you need is the book's ISBN number.
I also agree with Survivor's recommendation for Exam Cram NT Workstation 4 (ISBN 1-57610-620-9)and Exam Essentials. I used it for Server and Workstation and found it very representive of the actual tests.
Good Luck,
FreddyFlyer
