I have just been reading the notes on how to become a MCSD. It says "The elective exam requires proof of proficiency with Microsoft® development tools". How do you go about this??

I think this is like the MCSE track saying you need years experience. It is misleading -- I think the elective is your proof.
Now I am taking my final exam -- desktop next week so I will let you know if there are any glitches.

To SasiSan
Hi:
I noticed that you are MCSE and you are working on MCSD.
I am MCSE as well and I wanted to work on the MCSD. I am a network administrator with 5 years experience. Do you think MCSD you will be an asset to my skills?

Of course I would be an asset to your skills
I started with the VB/VBA... Should have had the MCSD a long time ago just never really did it. The I found out that I kind of am a natural at networks and implementations. Wasn't happy about that at first, I even swore that I would never ever go for that certification. Funny what time brings...
Yes, I do think it is valuable to me, but again I am a programmer and the networking helps. I am not as sure how it works the other way. One more baby point -- notice the MCT... I end up taking more exams than the norm...
One more test and I have my MCSD and MCDBA... Hopefully next Monday!
