With the emergence of the new A+ syllabus, will all those people who have passed the old A+ syllabus have to re-sit the A+ to bring their qualification up to date??
Put it another way, if all things are equal and person X sits the old syllabus and person Y sits the new syllabus, who is the better candidate for the employer to employ??

To the first question no, not at this time. Once you are certified it is for life.
To the second in my opinion it is like apples and oranges, in my day to day activities I deal more with "newer tech" but there are thousands of machines that still have 3.1.
I think we have to continuously seek to improve on our skills, and increase our knowledge base. The A+ cert is an "entry" level cert. and a lot of places have "entry" level equipment, and equipment problems. So if person X and person Y go for the same position, and the position is mainly dealing with 3.1 and dos. who will be a better candidate?
This is only my opinion!!!
