Hi to all,
I purchased the CID 3.0 course material
off a Ebay auction and the seller along with
his payment address sent this insight:
Some advice about the CID exam (I took and passed it last year)
Concentrate on SNA and the "Desktop Protocols"
(Windows Networking, mostly about NetBIOS; Appletalk routing protocols; IPX)
I scored the lowest in those two categories, mostly because I haven't had experience or exposure to them. I don't know if that applies in your case. Desktop Protocols seemed to be the biggest section of the test. I did ok to very well (100%) in the other categories.
Also, expect the actual test to be tougher than what you would expect from studying the available materials for the CID and taking the practice tests (tougher questions overall than what I expected, although a good portion are very similar to the CCNP questions).
The tests I took for the CCNP on the other hand were in line with my expectations based on what I had studied for them. In my opinion, the overall
difficulty was almost the same as taking the
CCIE-Written Qualification exam. The CID was 100
questions, with a passing score of 755 (with a scale of 300 to 1000), which is the same as 65%. You also can't mark and review the questions, so pace yourself.
Good luck.
Hope this post can be beneficial to these prepping
for the CID. Best of luck.
Danny

Hi,
Thanks for the info. There seems to really be a lack of materials for the CID exam. If you come across any info, feel free to mail me. I heard there are no more senerio based questions....
