Hi , Iam a new user to the forum.
I have done the ccna once and I got 622, I am hope to take it in the next month and pass. I have the opportunity to purchase some routers options 1 is a 2503 & 2511 option 2 2501 & 2514. I has been suggested that the 2514 is more useful that the 2511. As I am not a expert ,but am investing in my future, I wandered if someone could help??? and make sure I make the right choice.

It depends on what you want to do. The 2503/2511 gives you no ethernet (both LAN interfaces would be token ring), but the 2511 is ideal for a terminal server, to give you console port access to multiple routers if you want to add more equipment to your lab in the future. Token ring MAU's, cables and NIC's can be very inexpensive on EBay.
The 2501/2514 combination gives you ethernet on both routers, and 1 token ring interface. This is better if these are the only 2 routers you ever put into your lab.
HTH,

Recognize the limits of your equipment on VLAN's. You'd need at least 1 switch, obviously. Less obviously, AFAIK you cannot do inter-VLAN routing of any kind on a 2500 series router.
