I am now starting to study for the Accelerated exam and have got my company to purchase the Microsoft Windows 2000 Accelerated Training Kit for me. Now, the last time I took a core exam from the NT 4.0 track was back in August of 1998 which was the Enterprise exam. I am not ashamed to say that I probably have forgotten some of the areas such as trust and etc. from the NT 4.0 track. Is this book going to really help me pass the Accelerated exam or should I buy something else to study with. Are there currently any testing software packages such as Transcenders or EE for this exam? Anyone's recommendation is welcome. Especially Freaks. Freak I know we all should be setting up a Windows 2000 environment at home which I have done. I have setup a Win2000 Server (PDC) and Win2000 Professional workstation. Do you think that I should also setup an additional server such as another PDC, BDC, or maybe a member server to really get the full effect for studying? Which one should I go with for the second server? I also want your opinion on what are good study books to use for this exam. Is the book I already have good enough or are their better books out there? Your help is appreciated.

Thumbs up

There are several good ones out there, I am currentley using the following:

MS 2000 CORE Training Kit ISBN:0-7356-1130-0
Windows 2000 Accelerated by Coriolis ISBN:1-57610-690-x
Windows 2000 Cert. Headstart by Osbourne ISBN:0-07-212250-1
MCSE Accelerated Win 2000 by Sybex ISBN:0-7821-2770-3

And of course all the information on MS TechNet site www.microsoft.com/technet as well as some chapter from the MSPress tite as well.

For testing I'm using Exam Essentials and the online free tests from all over the web

Hope this helps.
