One more very powerful option every one of you can use right now is to add a member to "ignore list" This is one of the options available in your profile. What it does is when the member is added to your ignore list, you will never see a message posted by that member as if he does not exist. The threads are assembled dynamically, they are not static like on the old UBB forum, so the script check to see if you have anyone on your ignore list, and it will not include any posts made by that member. This is perhaps one of the most powerful tools you all have against annoying members. And the best part is that no moderator action is required.

Im not to sure about this feature, you would be in the dark from looking at a post, Having someone Ignored, and trying to follow what is going on if you couldn't see half the story.

I think if someone is Breaking the rules, and over all being a retard, They should be banned, Or atleast have that Post deleted.

A Sugestion about the banning thing:

-You should also be able to set how long the person is banned for. i.g. A week, a mounth, etc. Everyone does grow up eventually.... I hope

-Two types of ban's should be in place, One strictly for being able to post anything, and the other would be completly from this site.

Actually, the Ignore option is used on several forums already - I belong to at least one financial forum that excercises this feature.

It is actually an excellent feature to have, because there are times when a user just annoys you. They don't really do anything wrong and shouldn't be banned, but they annoy the heck out of you.

So although this feature is new to Exam Notes, it is not new to forums, and has worked successfully in the past. It will just take a little while to get used to.

I remeber first seeing this feature 5 years ago on AOL chat rooms.

It's definetely not new, but it's very useful.
