I took the Networking Essencials exam on May 1 and passed, but something got my attention before the exam started and that was the group of questions you have to fill out before you can take the exam. It asked questions about my experience with computers, what type of networking do I have experience with at work, how long have I been working on computers etc......

Now my question is this, does anyone out there believe that how you answer these questions have anything to do with the type of questions that are on the exam, or does it affect how easy/hard the test is? Now I heard that the testing center downloads the test already before you take it, but I wonder if anyone out there reading this has any thoughts. By the way when I answered those questions before my exam, I made myself look like a dumbass and said I have less than 6 months experience, I was paying for exams & books myself and had litte or no networking experience. Passed with 900/1000

So whats your thought?

I took the Network Essentials test on 4/20 which also presented the questions. I was pretty honest in listing my experience and knowledge (about 5 years) and still passed with a 933. I don't think it changed the test any. I'm pretty sure it's just for marketing research, etc. But then agian, Microsoft is pretty sneaky!

Thumbs up

I tend to agree with you about Microsoft being sneaky. I wish I knew for sure but I figure on the next exam I take, I'm putting the same thing again, hey you never know. Does anyone else have any ideas?
