Scored a terrible 566. Been studying for two months using For Dummies book, I was averaging over 900 in the practice exams. 100% on the exam on here but when it came to the exam I didn't have a clue. For Dummies lacks a lot of detail, and the stuff it tells you to learn as if your life depends on it wasn't in my exam. (The registry, ARC pathnames, installation switches) I came away very disheartened, I've worked bloody hard for two months for this and I got that score.
It was my first exam and I only want a MCP certification to get my foot in the door as a Junior.
Two questions if someone can help.
Firstly one of the questions in the exam on this site says:
How do you start the command 'NTbackup /r/e with low priority.
It says the answer is Start /low ntbackup /r/e. I had this question in my exam funny enough and I answered this.
But I have got hold of a copy of a mock MCP exam for 70-073 and some of the questions are worded exactly the same as the exam I sat. Anyway they say the answer to this question is cmd /low ntbackup /r/e. So who is right?
And finally one of the MCP questions said You have 20 identical computers and 25 identical laptops that have the same hardware. They propose using two Unattended.txt files, wouldn't one be enough if they have the same hardware, or will it require two? I thought one so I guess I got that question wrong?
I failed Friday 5th May and I don't know whether to sit it this Friday, don't know if it's too soon. Sorry about the lecture, it's my first post. Any advice for a wannabe Junior greatfully aprreciated.

Sorry to hear about your results. I also studied from the Dummies book. It alone is for sure not enough to pass this exam. Try checking out Cramsession.com . That site really helped me. Good Luck on whatever you decide...

Make sure you check out the Sybex book. That's what I use to teach my MCSE students, and I just had one of them take the same exam on Friday - he passed with a 900/1000, after studying it for less than a month.
Good luck to you, and don't feel too terrible - *$ happens!

Sorry you failed your first test. I also have the Dummies for NT book, I switched over to the Microsoft Press book and also got the readiness review book with it. I figure if I'm gonna take a Microsoft Certification test, I should be using their book. I must say it is different from the Dummies book, but I don't think that the Microsoft Press book are hard to understand. I take the NT test next friday myself and am using these books and Transenders questions and using all the free online tests & dumps I can find to help study. Good luck on your next exam

Good luck CausnHavoc. The thing that bugged me was that I learnt all the stuff the book said you had to burn into your head to pass, and saw none of it. If you can keep a level head, and do as many exams on these sort of sites, you should do fine. I am currently trying to get the confidence back to try again. Again good luck, and let us know how you get on.
