The only thing I know about Sun's certification programs is that most people consider the tests difficult.

I take it you're a knowledgeable Solaris user. I've never used Solaris before and am considering purchasing a copy of it. Right now I'm an novice Linux and *BSD user with a preference for *BSD. Can you give me some of your thoughts on Solaris, or other Unix variants for that matter? From what I've heard very few things can beat Solaris running on a Sparc.

No, I am not much experience in Solaris, just a plain user. In my previous job, I administer Linux and FreeBSD a lot. My next job, mainly on Solaris and Cisco and some security appliances.
Thats why I need to learn more of Solaris, and hopefully can get the Cert.

Best Regards.
