I have a good Microsoft background but then again who isn't now days so thinking about advancing my career to Oracle.
I am very new to Oracle in fact I know nothing about it but thinking about becoming a DBA. I really need some suggestion whether I should become a DBO first since I am new.

I am interesting myself, most of the IT need to know a litte SQL thing. DB is very important.
Are u MCSE, if yes go for the MCDBA...
Oracle is good know and have it.
If your job is dealing more with DB like warehouse, data mining and ...
Go for it, good luck
