Is the Exam Cram book for 70-216 worth the money? I have heard from conflicting sources...several have reported that the exam cram is the most comprhensive pre test review, others have said that it totally misses the boat!
Any ideas or suggestions?

Personally I'd bin it, I have the 240 Accelerated Cram book and well I think I will burn it. It's CRAP, if I was you I'd follow cadman's suggestions that is the MS Resource Kits & Training Guides and TroyTec 216(Definatley worth the money this one)
I'd msg cadman to see what he has to say.
Hope this sheds some light on the matter.

I'm not familiar with Troytec?
I have the MS Official Study Guides for the core 4, and have found that they left quite a bit out. Thus my desire to hop off of the bandwagon....
Thanks for you help...

Use the MS W2K Resource Kit and Troytec. Resource Kit has everything and explains everything. Don't attempt to read the thing. It has 6-7 volumes and is heavy reading. Use it as a resource/reference. Troytec has good q&a, but doesn't explain answers. Use resource kit to verify. Understand the WHY.
This was my hardest MS exam yet out of 11 so far. The 217 is much easier.

I am looking at taking the 216 exam next. C-man, why did you find it so hard? IT seems pretty straight forward, with a combination of TCP/IP and Net Ess from 4.0 track, plus a couple of Win2K add ons... thanks for your help

freak, I don't know. Maybe burnout before catching a second wind. Couldn't get anything to stick to the wall. Didn't have the MOC or resource kit and was using the MS Press MCSE training kit, which is worthless for this one. Maybe job/wife/kids/studying/teaching/...
Anyway, whatever it was, jumped the hurdle, getting ready for 219 this week, have a 2151 class at night after work.
Good luck,

I have the Exam Cram. Will read it this week. It looks kind of thin. I will read it anyway and post my comments. I am also reading Troytech and using Transcender.

I have the Exam Cram as well. I am taking the 217 exam Friday, then will take the 216. I will also let you know how I found the exam cram.
They were great for 210 and 215 by the way...

Darn, Freak you move fast. I seem to be a little behind you as far as the Win2K certs go. When are you planning on finishing? I am planning on taking the 70-216 and then the 70-217 exams this month in January. If I press it, I could squeeze in another Win2K exam, yet to be decided. It's hard to do this and have a life at the same time! Oh well, back to the books.
