Hey freak, I`m having a tough time trying to use User manager for domains....it insists looking for another domain and won`t let me do anything unless i`m online.
Is this because I installed RAS? I`m simply trying to add users to my domain...without having to be connected to the internet.
You can email me at janamike@island.net if you want.
thanks for your help! Mike

Freak, I`m accessing usrmgr from the pdc,
this is what I have: NT server as a pdc, domain name MAN, when I go to use usrmngr for domains it comes up with an error "Network path not found" would you like to administer another domain?
If I click no then the utility shuts down, but if I click yes it opens and is working....then it shows the MAN domain, then I click on that and click ok, then it says "network path not found"
BUT if I`m online the weird thing is I don`t get any error messages at all and usrmgr shows all, including groups etc.
I don`t know why it works when i`m connected to the net as this is a local machine and is not hooked up to any other machine, I`m using this server as a workstation also so when someone else uses it they have their own account.
I figured it has something to do with RAS, service, or the ip number that I used to have when I had a NIC card installed.
I was able to add accounts before with no problem, it wasn`t until I decided I wanted to surf the net and needed RAS to make dial-up networking work, so I installed RAS so I could "play" om the net.
