I passed the CCDA today! Yay! This was the second time I took the exam. The first time I missed the pass mark by one question. This time, I left the pass mark in the dust. I didn't even really study in the 6 days between my first sitting and today. It was just a matter of getting used to the format of the actual exam (which differs greatly from the practice exam provided by Cisco Press). There are a lot of vague questions that leave you pondering one of two possible answers...this was very annoying...but, whatever. A pass is a pass. Thanks for your help, guys. This forum is great. Let's make it as strong as the CCNA.
Cheers,
Danny

I don't have anything on my immediate agenda aside from getting more hands on experience in the field with my new knowledge. I am sure once I get comfortable with working with all this stuff I will go for CCDP and CCNP...

I used the Cisco Press CCDA book by Bruno and Kim. That is all. I have no hands-on experience with Cisco products, and have never worked with WAN stuff...I studied for one month.

CCNA, CCDA
The only experience I have is in doing a little bit of CAT 5 cabling, and through being a network administrator for a small company.

hey kk1186
"As I said before CCDA is not hard. It needs a fresh mind to tackle."
just a curious Question, but...
What did you mean by 'fresh mind' ??
And is it really not hard??
I havnt looked at any materials for the CCDA yet and have no experience wotsoevah in the Networking, and computing INdustry but have my CCNA and A+ Cert, would it be hard for me to grasp the concept and pass the exam you think??

If you don't have any working experience in networking, CCDA will be harder than CCNA a lot. Many questions in CCDA exam to me are just common sense. I mean not much in depth to the technology but just need your usual logical mind in networking. It does not like CCNA which has much command questions that you only need to memorize the syntax.

hmmZzz..! Is there anyone here who passed the CCDA without experience in the Networking industry??
I really don't know what to do now. I'm just scared i wont be able to pass it - perhaps i should just go and find a job then do the CCDA, or maybe just really study and hope i pass.
If the CCDA is harder than the CCNA... in which I already thought the CCNA was hard... it's going to take alot of hard work to get through. But heck.. If it can be done, then im going to do it =P
