Just passed the CCNA test with a 956 a couple weeks ago and want to proceed onto CCDA. I was wondering if anyone has used the RoboView Technologies study guide for CCDA. If anyone has I would really like to know if this helped you in anyway. Thank You for any comments.

I just purchased the Roboview, In my opinion it just another study guide, (Just like the CRAM information that you would find in BRAINBUZZ.COM)

It does not have explainations, I found the BOSON EXAM FAR BETTER, at least if I didn't understand some technical issue it would refer me to a specific book (For example Top & Down) ALONG WITH THE PAGE NUMBERS,

Bare in mind I don't have my CCDA as of yet, but so far I am getting plenty out of the Boson EXAMs and refering to the TOP DOWN book for the Theory

So in summary save your money on that one, But I hope some of the other folks here on this forum will respond to you (That already passed).

Bare in mind it all depends on your experience, if you have most of the knowledge already than maybe these guides will help you but in my case I don't have the experience in Network Archicture design, I had to rely on books that further explains the subject in further detail,

Even if you have the experience I would stick with the CRAM GUIDES at BrainBuzz rather than purchase ROBOVIEW,

I hope this helps

Best

Tom

Thumbs up

Thanks Tom for your comments. I have found that with Cisco tests you could have several years of experience which I have and still do poorly on the test(s). Especially from what I'm reading about the case studies on the CCDA. If someone is a poor reader but a guru on Cisco experience there is a weight here that one will have to overcome. I'm not saying that I'm not a good reader but I'm a person that needs to re-read material in order to grasp what is being said. Thanks for your comments and Happy holidays.

Question

Tom, I didn't see your e-mail address in your profile. Please send me an e-mail to svs@yahoo.com and I very much look forward to communicating. Thanks for your holiday responses. I'm just very determined to get this test under my belt for some reason. Basically trying to follow a road map that I have laid out for my testing schedule for the year 2001. I look forward to hearing from you. Thanks again for all the assistance.
