Does anybody have a good on-line reference that deals with the hardware involved in using IBM mainframes on a LAN? When I read the DCN book for the first time I realized that my knowledge is lacking in this area so any help would be appreciated.
Thanks,

Slacker71,
Basically, to learn mainframe you have to learn SNA. Go to www.cisco.com and search for "SNA". Look for the topic "IBM SNA Protocols". I'm also using the same book and the book requires some prerequisites before using.
Good Luck!

Thanks Lawrence and VanTech!
VanTech,
It is funny that you mentioned the prerequisites since it dod not take me more than 10 minutes after finishing DCN the first time to order the Internetworking Technologies Handbook. I felt like I had a really solid understanding of the "basics" going into my CCDA studies, alas I was mistaken (must have been that ego trip from passing the CCNA!). Nonetheless, I think that the core knowledge I will gain from studying for the CCDA will really pay off when I tackle the CCNP. Again, thanks for your help and good luck in your future endeavors!
