Finally, after around a 3 weeks of no LAN activity , I finally got my network working again !!!

The problem was in one of the Network Adapter Transevers !!

LOL

Wink

hey freak !

I could not ping any other comp so I knew it was a problem locally. When I looked for the network card in Device manager, it was reported that it was working fine, and TCP/IP was all set up right. Then I tryed getting new cable (UTP, cat5 crossover), and still the network was down

So, after that I started to pull my hair out because I was totally confused !! LOL

My lecturer then told me about the network transever could be faulty and I would need a diagnostic tool !! ......... and to make a long story short, I ended up getting a new network adapter !! hehehe

Its working fine now , thank god.. cause I have my NT4 exam on thursday week and I need to practice some networking !!!
