Hi to all,
Can someone who recently passed the CIT test
please advise as to which book is best for
the test - CIT by Chappell or the new Cisco
Press book ( ISBN - 0-735709955 ). I currently have the Chappell book and have
started studying but want to be sure this is
the closet to the test material. Thanks very
much.
Danny

I took the CIT using only the ExamCram Support book, because the new CiscoPress book hadn't been released at that time. I would suggest that the new one is better, but if you have done well on the previous exams, this studying should be just a refresher.

Yankee,
Thanks for the reply. I've ordered the new
Support book and it arrives on Tuesday. I
am going to concentrate on the test objectives and study them from the Chappell
book and then study everything in the new
Support book. Thanks again
Danny

as u will soon find out ..the certification guide is a leaner version of the laura chappel cit book. thats the only diff.
i am using the new book as i have less time but i will surely read the cit book by laura chappel thoroughly as a ccie prep.
so if anyone has time and has the laura chappel cit book ..u dont need to get the new certification guide.
regards
mongol

Thanks Mongol,
I've studied Chappell Chapters 7 - 11
all day yesterday and will finish chapters
12 and 13 this evening. The new support book
arrives tomorrow at which time I will read
cover to cover. Best of luck
Danny

Hi,
As others have said, once you have done BCRAN, BCMSN, BSCN, you should be o.k.
Know your ISDN, Frame-relay, at what level what commands should be used, the difference between the show and debug commands,
The exam is generally o.k. You have enough time, so be cool.
