Helan you do not sound like a nice person at all. Where do you get off shooting you mouth off when you don't know what you are talking about?

I personally bought CIW courseware off of Che and they were the version 4 and they were in perfect condition. I was very happy with my purchase and I would definitely consider buying more books off of Che when I need them.

So, Helan, I think you owe Che an apology. You should have more control over that mouth of yours! It could get you into trouble some time.

Helan - you are a poor excuse for a human being - you are truly heartless. Obviously you do not need to purchase books or have a need to support yourself and your family. So stay out of my business. I have spent thousands (over 20) of dollars in this past year getting my MCSE, A+, i-Net+ and CIW and I need to get some of this money back. I have not had a job in the past year and needed to feed myself and my family - yes, I am a single mother trying to make mine and my children's life better. Needlesstosay, it was one tough year. So if I need to sell a few of my things to make a few bucks to help me and my family out - I don't think that makes me a bad person. Obviously you have money to live and to educate yourself. You have the luxury that some of us don't. I am NOT trying to screw anybody. You want my books - fine, pay for them. You don't want my books - fine - don't buy them. I did not ask for you two cents and don't care to hear what you have to say. I really have no need to explain my life to you or anybody, I just want you to know that you are making my life much harder than it has been. Thank you very much Helan - I hope you sleep really well tonight. Me, tonigh I will be wondering how I will survive the next couple of months.

I think a lot of this comes from the confusion of what is in the CIW books and what is actually on the exam. I have yet to see any CIW notes, online exams (Cert21 in particular), etc. that covered everything that was on the exams for Site Designer and E-commerce. E-commerce especially. Nothing I have seen even comes close to what is covered on that exam. And I have heard that the CIW books are not even up to date. Be carefull on what you buy for the CIW exams.

I would have GLADLY paid the money for the CIW books, if I had assurance that they were acurate as to what was covered on the exam. But I rarely got responses and when I did, they were inacurate.

No one here was able to answer any of my questions as to what was "truly" on the exams. I don't mind studying, but I DO mind paying money to study the wrong stuff and then loose more money for the exam fee. I know $125 isn't a lot of money, but it is to some people.

Fortunately, I had the background knowledge to pass these exams or I would have failed based on the study material that is currently out there. And no, I'm not paper certified. I know the material in a working environment.

And no, I don't have any study material (other than my background knowledge), so don't email me. Everything I know regarding these exams has been posted here.

Are you one of those people that doesn't pay for anything themselves and expects the rest of us to supply you with all the answers. Are you a paper Techie.
Sounds like you are. So I would imagine you don't have much room to talk about someone else doing something that offends you.
I am offended by people like you that use others so they can put certificates on the wall.
I along with Che have spent thousands of dollars to do the training right but we weren't cheap with the others here. I and I know Che has helped alot of people here but we paid for it first.

seanst - I appreciate your understanding. This industry is sucking us dry with tuition and such. I obtained 4 certifications (MCSE, M CIW D, i-Net+ and A+) and spent more in tuition than some people make in a year of wages! I am just trying to sell the books I no longer need.

I have been steadily looking for work and have landed many interviews. I am just trying to pick "the perfect" one - if it exsists. So, I will say that the CIW certification sure helped me...the companies are not questioning me about my MCSE (though it looks good on the resume).

My opinion, the CIW may be new, but it will take off and worth something.
