Well this will be my 5th test overall, my 4th since 26 aug 00. This test study material seems to be an easy one. I've never been this so confident on any of Microsoft tests. Is it an easy test? Please reply

I thought it was pretty easy. I got a 900 and the test took me about 12 minutes. There were 3 questions that I thought were phrased vaguely, and those are apparantly the ones that I missed. Don't sweat it, you'll be fine.

I would not say that it was an easy test. However, if you know your stuff, you should be all set. About a third of the exam was on subnetting. That's a subject that you either know or do not know. Another third was based on DHCP, WINS and DNS. The last third was scenarios and other assorted fun tidbits -- browser service, etc...
All around a fun test, but not an easy one. Studying will get you great results, though.
I have some preptests for TCP/IP on my sites if you want to test yourself. See if they can help.
Please post any questions you may have and we will try to help!

I'm not saying that I didn't need to study, because I studied quite a bit for this one. I did, however, find that the tools I used to study (i.e. Petri's practice tests and Sybex's TCP/IP for NT server by Todd Lammle) more than adequatley prepared me for what I found. As I said in an earlier post, I scored higher on the actual exam than I did on any of the Petri tests. The Practice tests showed me the area's I was weak in and gave me some direction when I looked things up. After all of that, I was pleasantly surprised by the straight forward nature of the test. I'm using Petri again to study for IIS which I take Thursday, and again, I'm finding my weak areas and hitting the books.

Do not use the transcenders for IIS. I teach that class, and I can tell you that there are way off the mark. The only good thing about them is in the simulation questions. And during the test, please remember to stop and restart services after you make changes in the MMC!
