Took it and passed it in March 2007. We recently added Security+ to our curriculum, so that was my incentive.

Yes, I am currently studying for it. The only drawback is that the course I took was Microsoft's 2810A (Fundamentals of Network Security) which is more tuned towards Microsoft's OS's and which was written in 2003. So I am currently trying to find some current/up-to-date study guides for Comptia's Security+.

I'm currently studying. I have the Sybex CompTIA Security+ Study Guide third edition, and the Mike Meyers passport to Security+. I've also been using some TestPrep software, but just copying the data sheets and studying them for the exam.
I have to take the test on Monday 10SEP07. I haven't taken a cert test in a long time over 7 year.

Security+ Certified...
I passed with an 825.. I could have done better, but my study time was interrupted this weekend multiple times for a church BBQ, kids, and normal life. I recommend getting away atleast the day before to totally focus on the exam. I know I would have gotten a better score, if I had a better studying environment.
If I can give one piece of good advice, it would be to use pass4sure. It was dead on with many questions.
Thanks for the posts, it's nice to see people out there interested..
My next exam CCNA.. Oct 26

Congrats on passing the exam!!! I will definitely take your advice about having an interruption free study day the day before the exam. I've taken a few practice tests so far to find out where my weaknesses are (right now, many! LOL). I hope to test for the exam by the end of this month!
