I am starting to study for this test myself. I bought 2 books: LPI Linux Cert. in a Nutshell 2nd ed. (0596005288) and Linux Pro Inst Cert Study Guide (078214425X). According to Amazon.com, they are the best books for LPI, the newest too. It's one of the reasons I'm going for LPI 1 not Linux+. All the Linux+ books I saw were kinda old.
