Passed CCNA INTRO
I failed the CCNA twice, so I thought I'd try the two step method. I got 931 in the Intro today, the pass mark was 825.
How does the ICND differ from the CCNA. Looking at the Cisco site, the requirements for both are very similar.
Anyone done both CCNA and ICND?

Congrats on the pass!!!
The INTRO and ICND exams are just the CCNA exam broken up in two. The Intro just goes over basic networking, OSI, IP addressing, Subnetting..etc etc..The ICND is going to go over Technology and troubleshooting like WAN, Frame Relay, ISDN, VLAN, Routing protocols. You will see a simulation or two type questions with this exam also.
Good luck with the ICND exam. Do not hesitate to ask question if you have them.

Nice going David! You're not alone on failing the 640-801. Cisco says that this is an entry level test, which is true. But it's a ton of information, most of which is completely new for most people.
I do hope you're successful now that you're going the two test route. Most people find the INTRO test a piece of cake, and would describe the ICND test in a slightly different manor . ICND material is definitely deeper, so you can expect your next test to be more difficult than the composite 640-801. That's of course due to the fact that the composite has a mix of easy (INTRO) and difficult (ICND) questions, whereas taking the ICND provides you with all difficult questions. But you can now use your advantage of studying less material and nail it down.
Hopefully you have the Cisco Press books since they're broken down perfectly between the two tests. Sybex certainly works as well, but it's all mushed together. Have you been able to play with a simulator or Cisco lab at all? That certainly made a huge difference come test time for me.
Happy studies!

Very nice, traffic is just beginning to be a problem though.
Otherwise, I'd prefer to be here than anywhere else.
Yup, I was born here.
