4th Ed. of Cisco Press kit in Oct
The new ISBN is 1587201496, only difference is a 3rd edition of the BCMSN exam guide. I need to get rolling on CCNP while CCNA is still fresh in my head so I went ahead and bought the current version. That ISBN is 1587201046 which I picked up for $70 shipped. Here's the froogle on that 4 book kit, I purchased from the first one on the list:

A lot of people have commented on the Self Study guides being better than the Exam Certification guides from Cisco Press (very confusing to keep the 2 straight), but those Self Study guides are way to spendy. At $70 for the exam cert kit, that breaks down to $17 per book. There are also marketplace sellers on Amazon selling the Sybex books at $11 each, so you'll get the 2 source angle that's always recommended. I've bought from these guys before and they're always brand new with a black sharpie mark on them. That apparently notes overstock, or that the book had a slight defect (anyone else know more about this?).
The 642-8xx test are getting old, but no sign of changes yet. Time for me to hurry up and wait for my books to arrive. Then we'll resurect Boson's Netsim and hunker down for tons of fun.

FYI - Tons of errata on the Cisco Press books. Make sure you donwload the updates for these from ciscopress.com if you buy 'em. Sybex had a few updates as well, but not much.
