Tab;es Sorting
I am having hard time trying to sort names listed in one column of a table in ascending order.
I have the numbers in the first column and the names in the second column. I select the second column only and click the sort button. It sorts the names right but the numbers columns get messed up. I tried this on differnt computers, and though I am doing the same thing It gets right on some computers, and messed up on other. What is going wrong?

If you're in Office 2003 (probably XP too) Try going to Tools/Options/Edit in Word and you'll see a "Smart Cut & Paste" check mark there and also there is a 'settings' box there where you can uncheck a lot of 'auto' stuff. Let me know if it works.
