Cisco 2504 Routers
I recently purchased 3 2504 routers very cheap to set up my first CCNA Lab.
Knowing they have the token ring ports instead of ethernet (aui) ports, what is the best way to connect them until i can buy some more routers?
Also, what 2500 series routers (there's loads around at the moment) would serve me best in the ccna exam? Am prepared to buy to more plus a switch if necessary.
Thanks in advance!
Rob

I'm not fully versed yet on the Cisco hierarchy, but I purchased 2 2500s which are in the access layer. I would think any routers/switches in the access layer would work the best to start. If you go to Cisco & type in "Access" or "Distribution", you could get an idea where your 2504s fall.
As for the exam, I am not there yet so I wouldn't know the best for CCNA. I would say anything with a command line over a GUI. (2800s have a GUI.)

I don't think this is true. Maybe you have a VERY old software version?

Your right OSPF is supported in Cisco IOS version 10.0 and later. Sorry for the bad info. What I should have said was: Only 2500's with IOS version 10.0 and later support OSPF.

Cheers fellas, been a great help,
i've upgraded the ios to 12.1 and am now using them for frame relay.
As i have 4 router now, is it worth using 2 as DTE and 2 as DCE, or is this beyond the scope of the CCNA? Am running out of things to try.
