DTE to DCE connection

I have got the db60 cross over serial cables. I have plugged each end into a router and I can't get them to talk. Am I missing something?

You need a clock.

Set the DCE end to provide clock, you can find which end is DCE by using the command -

show controller s 0 <---Or your interface number, the space between S and 0 can be important on some IOS.

Then

int s 0
clock rate ?

and pick the clock rate you need. You should see your interface come up.
