This site sucks. With the amount of spam and lack of moderation that examnotes.net has, it's better to check out www.techexams.net/forums, www.certcities.com and www.security-forums.com.

Curious George, do you have two Bachelors as in you got another one later after getting the first or did you just double major? I have rarely seen people with two bachelors and I am curious as to how your university handles the double degree/double major conundrum.
Thanks,
ramlax

I have a B.S. in Actuarial Science and a B.B.A. in Finance.
After I got my first Bachelor's, I went back for two more semesters and got the second one.
The university accepts all of the core courses for any degree. You just have to go back and take the specific major courses to get another degree.
Many degree requirements overlap. If I wanted to go back to school, it would only take me one year to get a degree in Computer Science because that was one of my minors.

Age: 36
Experience: Over 15 years
Location: California Boondocks
Certs: CISSP MCSE MCDBA MCSA CCNA Linux+
Job #1 (Full-Time): Network/Systems/Security Admin: $100k
Job #2: (6hrs/wk): Teching IT certification classes: approx $20 (depends on the number of classes I teach a year)
Job #3: (20hrs/mo): Inherited IT business from a friend: $36k (value of monthly contracts)
Total: Just over $150K
Even though working three jobs sounds like much I really only work about 45 hours a week, and I get 4 weeks off every year.

Wouldn't that mean job #1 isn't full time???
But good for you. It's always great to see IT people making some decent dough.

Sort of. I work for a national company, #1 in its industry, that considers 37.5 hours a week to be full-time. Odd, I know. I don't really know why they do that, but they also give the entire company eight weeks of half-day Fridays in the summer. I don't complain.
Both are a great perk to someone like me that wants to take on additional stuff.
If I work the "average" for all three in a week it's more like 48.5 hours, but I don't teach every week, nor do I always do my 20 hours a month in job #3. So 45 hours is about right - though the last eight weeks have actually been more like 56 hours a week, which I hate doing.
That ends this week.
