Question SK0-001 avail for how long?

The new objectives are labeled "2004" so I have to assume we won't be able to take the old 2001 test for much longer. Anyone had experience being caught inbetween these transition periods? This is new to me. I hate to buy Sybex, etc. before knowing how much time I'd have to take the current test. I believe the A+ 2003 update had a specific effective date in November. Was that a suprise, or was that date anounced before it happened?

Thanks for the response. December would certainly seem to fit in. I should mention that I sent an email to CompTIA the same day that I made this post and just now received a reply. The rep on their end stated the new test would not start until 2005 and no exact date was set.

One final update for anyone else out there working on Server+ right now:

CompTIA's website was updated this last week to officially state that the new test will be live sometime in Q1 of 2005. I've just recieved my Sybex, and Server+ Certification Bible so I'm going for it before it changes myself.
