What an excellent question.
And with a little investigation, I have found that the IP addresses and host names of both repentantvoter and dmaftei are exactly the same.
Does attbi.com ring any bells with dmaftei or his alter ego repentantvoter?
Have you been posting with two user names?

Very interesting....he even has a BSEE and MSCS like you do.
I believe what forum I moderate at iCertify.net is irrelevant, sir. However I can assure you it is not one of the Cisco forums, since I am an absolute beginner with regard to network administation in general, and Cisco devices in particular. My expertise is in other domains.
I would think that the fact that myself and somebody else asked the same question in different forums is a quite common occurence. As I already told Mr. Sexy Lexy, answering an inquiry from him, I found that question in a practice test at iCertify.net. To my knowledge, the answer was wrong, and I asked for confirmation. I chose to ask here because I observed that this forum is much more animated than others. As for the gentlman you are referring to, I have no way of knowing his reasons for asking the same question. I can only assume he also discovered the mistake, and asked for clarification.
As for the BSEE and MSCS, I would think that is quite common. After all, electrical engineering and computer science are closely related fields indeed.
I hope this addresses your concerns, Mr. forbesl. I am forever indebted to you for the quality of the (few) discussions we had here, and it saddens me deeply to see I have caused you a discomfort.

Quite unsettling, indeed, to find myself suddenly under investigation. I can only hope that the presumption of innocence functions here as it does in other places.
Mr. Sexy Lexy, I have no way of explaining why my IP address and host name match those of the gentlman you are referring to. I suggest, if I may, that you inquire at my Internet Service Provider to discover the source of this confussion. attbi.com does ring a bell with me indeed: my current Internet Service Provider is Comcast, and Comcast bought attbi.com, I believe, a year ago. I hope that helps in the investigation!
I do confess, however, that I make use of more than two usernames. I am a registered user at some five or six certification sites (and moderator at one), and at each site I use a different username, something that reminds me of an event in my life. Then I associate the site with the event. The username I use here, repentantvoter, reminds me of an election when I voted for somebody who turned out to be bad. Therefore, I became a repentant voter. Then, the mental association I use for ExamNotes.net is voting for the wrong person.

That's what I thought.

"Tap dance", sir? I do not feel inclined to do any kind of dance, sir, as I find myself under unjustified suspicion.

You've got yourselves a new victim, huh? You cannot go one week without harrasing somebody. Pathetic...

Well, I don't know about "unjustified". There are too many coincidences for you and dmaftei NOT to be the same person:
1. Both posting the same questions in two different forums.
2. Both have BSEE and MSCS.
3. Both coming from the SAME IP address.
I've already made my decision, so you can quit tap dancing (unless you're doing it for the benefit of other forum members).
I really don't care if you did pop in under a new name, I just think it is interesting (and kinda weird) that you feel the need to do so, especially since you're trying awful hard not to sound like dmaftei. The fact that you are just WAY to polite raised a red flag with me.

Not to mention the same host, but they both already knew that.
Dmaftei, who is harassing anyone here? Forbesl asked a question and I looked into the logged IP addresses.
Guilty conscience perhaps?

I cannot explain phenomena that are beyond my control, sir. And a string of coincidences is beyond my control indeed.
I am not trying at all to not sound like somebody else. I take pride in sounding like myself, sir. As for being "WAY too polite", I have difficulties understanding how that can be a problem. As I explained previously, I prefer to err on the side of being too polite, rather than being impolite.
That being said, sir, I hope you will not be offended if I stop answering these most peculiar inquires, and resume my quest for knowledge.
Thank you!
