Right now, there is more demand for VB.net programmers.
This is probably because VB isn't necessarily part of
the .NET framework like C# is. But in time (soon) C#
opportnities will catch up.

Huh? VB.Net isn't part of the .Net framework? You'd better let the MS
marketing folks know because they've been telling the world that is is for
over 2 years now!

But otherwise you're correct. All new .Net programmers should concentrate
on VB.Net. That way I will make more money as a C# programmer.

Oh no! Say it ain't so! All that effort to be a .NET developer wasted on a
language that's not part of The Framework!

C# opportunities do seem to be coming about more frequently.

Mean while, back in the real world......

In reality what you see relates only to your small view of the IT
world; other people will see this from their own view point and in a
different light. However it is quite apparent that c# is the dominant
microsoft dot net language and equally apparent, people are still
having problems producing decent systems, even with c# - no change
there....

True. I suppose a more accurate statement on my part is that in my
geographic area, I seem to be seeing more c# jobs advertised than VB.NET. My
perspective is that of a job hunter. So that's not to say there aren't more
VB.NET positions that just happened to be filled already.
