just failed the ccna 801. mainly because of the simulations. i knew everyone of them cold but i must have missed something small.
Do i have to save the running config to the startup config. Do you have to type in the full commands instead of abbreviated ones: (conf t) or (configure terminal).
Going to take it again in about two weeks. I'll study a bit more.
Any other tips would be greatly appreciated.

Always save your configurations. I think the Cisco exam logic is if you don't save your work, you might as well not do it at all. Abbreviated commands are fine also. Really the only thing that matters is that your configurations work the way they are supposed to and that you save your work. Make sure you test your configurations with ping, telnet, and show commands just in case you may have forgotten something that will cause your configuration not to work.

In exams,yes you can type those abbreviations but beware it applies for common ones and not all commands(ie you can issue copy run start ,show run ,config t etc.etc.)Personally,I would prefer to learn the full commands during at tis stage until im comfortable and very confident using abbre. commands.

As for tips,just don't panic,don't give up and all da best for your exams in the coming week or two.
