new mcdba requirements

I was wondering if anyone knows if MS is going to revamp
the MCDBA requirements once Yukon comes out. If so what
are they. I know my opinion isnt the majority, but I would
like to see more SQL focused exams like Oracle as opposed
to half SQL and half OS.

Re: new mcdba requirements

If you are already MCDBA certified you will probably just have to do one or
two upgrade exams. In any case, you won't have to re-take the os exams as
they will still be valid.
I would like to see seperate certification paths for database developers and
DBA's.
I would welcome more specialised SQL server exams - e.g. You could probably
devote a whole exam to DTS!

Re: new mcdba requirements

From a recent survey given out by MS, it sounds like the MCDBA track with
Yukon will be very interesting. If I remember correctly from the survey they
mentioned at least 6 different SQL exams. Plans could certainly change from
now to when they are released but I suspect it will be interesting
nonetheless.
