I HAVE PROBLEM IN SOFTWARE DEPLOYMENT WHEN CONVERT THE EXTENSION FROM .EXE TO MSI USING VERTIS SOFTWARE (EX :WINZIP) IT IS NOT INSTALL IN THE ASSIGNING USER OR SYSTEM
BUT IF I DEPLOY SOME SOFTWARE WITH MSI LIKE VERTIS IS IT DEPLOYING
WHAT IS THE SOULATION FOR THIS

 software deployment
brother jeff_j_black i tried what u tolde me but even though it is give error but before if i m assigning for system it should rise shourt cut in desktop but after ur advise it rise shourt cut but it is give error while installing the client
1-other doubt i want know if i forget admin password how can i get it
2- where it's stored in system
3-where in registery

But if you manually install from your converted MSI file, your installation is successful? Right-click on the converted MSI file and select install. If it installs correctly then it should work through Software Installation. The articles I linked to show how to use advanced logging for software installation and group policy, did you try these? Administrator password is another topic.

How to convert exe to msi
brother jeff_j_black i got problem to covert exe to MSI some software it convert and others not after convertion to software it gives error like shourt cut error or not support UNC support
i m using veritas software for convertion
1-would help me and tell me step by step how to deploy the software starting from server side to client side
2-are all the software exe application support to convert to msi to use deployment concept
