MCDBA at last!
Well, there is some overlap between 70-228 and 70-229. So
you can expect that some of the material covered by 70-228
will turn up again on the 70-229 exam. So to that extent
you might want to take 70-228 first.
I'd been developing client/server applications (mostly
with Oracle) for a couple of years so I found 70-229
fairly easy because I already understood logical database
design and SQL.
I didn't know much about networking or W2K Server so I put
70-215 and 70-216 off until after I'd passed the SQL
Server exams and that worked well for me.
The relative difficulty of the various exams depends
mostly on what you bring with you in terms of past
experience.
I used the Microsoft Press books for all the exams along
with Transcender and I passed all four exams the first
time.
Good luck,
Bob Montgomery
