This exam is not case study format. Make sure to review the exam objectives and course descriptions. Expect certificates, SUS, MBSA, some wireless questions, know your ports and protocols, know authentication, authorization and auditing.
There were no books for this when I took the beta exam, so no recommendation there. This exam is about on a par of 217, not as bad as 216. Good Luck!

Thanks Jeff,
Scedule to take the exam on Friday now. Feel ready. I going after the 2003 cert testing next! Have you taken the 292, or 296 exams? What study material did you use? I got the MS book for the upgrade 2003. look good so far but kinda wondering what overs have seen?
Are the test the same as the 216, 217 format or study like the 220?

I have taken the betas for 290,291,297,299. I used exam objectives and course descriptions for 290,291. Working off of various resources on the MS site as well as others, including Windows Help, which is greatly improved. 297 I used the Deployment Planning Guide, which is a great resource. I just missed passing 297 and am still waiting to see how I did on 299. I used the applicable chapters from the Upgrade book to prep for 299. It seemed to cover the material well enough, I was just really pressed for prep time for 299. I'll let you know when I find out.
The biggest issue with the new exams is the framed interface that will not let you go to the next question until you scroll completely to see the info in each frame. 291 seemed to be a little more in depth on some topics it is on a good par with 216.
