Ok, I am working on setting up a home lab to finish up my studying for the CCNA. I am getting two 2503 routers and a 1912 switch, and a 2924 switch. I will have all the cables and everything, but I was wondering whats the best way to hook it up, I also have three computers that I can use on the network. Do I have to connect the AUI connectors to another router or can I connect them to a switch, my overall goal is two have three subnets, two of them with the switches on them, and one with just the single host.
Is this possible, and if so what would I connect to which port?

I'd configure the routers and switch via console cable first. Then once you have the ip scheme set up and your vty lines configured etc. then you can just connect the AUI ports of the routers to the switch and the pc to the switch and administer them all with telnet or the switch with web browser.

Hi,

a 2509 or 2511 term server may be benefical for you, so that you don't have keep connecting and disconnecting the console connections.
