Windows 2000 Pro and Server CD's
Hey all,
I am ready to work on my MCSA 2000 certs and have a question. I have seen 2000 Pro out in retail stores going for an upwards of $300 and I have seen On certain web sites the price of $140 (+/-) whats the diff? The web sites that sell for $140 do have the key # and some sites have the certificate of autheticity but other than that what is the diff?
Another question is that when I go to work on 2000 server where can I go to get the 2000 server to load onto my machine? The prices are way out of my budget, and the only 2000 server CD's i have seen out there have 5 - 10 licenses in th price which I dont need, I just need to load 2000 server onto 1 or 2 machines to practice on.
Any answers or thoughts would be appreciated.

if all you need is hands on
then just order the evaluation versions from microsoft
i think they go for $5 each
the installation works for 120 days and you can keep reinstalling it( the full version needs to be reinstalled often anyway)
or you can buy the book for the 218 exam, it comes with a free 2000 server
i hope this helps
