Red Hat Servers and Windows desktops

I haven't done much with Red Hat. I have Red Hat 9 (I think) installed on a desktop. On the server side what is the best cd to get, I want to set up a Red Hat server and have windows 2000 XP desktops authenticate a log on through the red hat server...is this possible and are there good resources on the web for this...cheers

Just install Red Hat 9 with Samaba servers. That will allow your RH box to act as a PDC for the Windows clients. There is a web based tool called SWAT that can make configuring Samba easier as well.
