MCT - worth doing or not?
I'm an MCSE qualified on NT and working for a Certified Partner. I've
been teaching 2272 and have really been enjoying it. I think I'd like
to become an MCT.
My questions are:
- is there any demand? I live in the UK
- what's the life like? I imagine a lot of travelling is involved.
- are many MCTs self employed?
I'm thinking of asking a local CTEC whether I can drop in and have an
informal chat.
Thanks in advance,
Yoshi

Re: MCT - worth doing or not?
Hi Yoshi,
I'd strongly suggest you speak to a number of existing MCT's on this. In
most countries, the market has been nothing short of tragic in recent times.
Demand for trainers in low-end courses is only at rates that most people
can't survive on. If you want to survive as an MCT, you need to be very,
very good at a specialty area, and preferably don't depend upon the MCT
income ie: have another income.
Just my 2c,
