Question Copy and paste

Hi Techies,

I have this problem in my e-mail program.

This is new to me when I try copying some text from an e-mail to the [compose] window, using [ctrl+c] and [ctrl+v] and trying to copy a whole paragraph rather than retyping it again, that doesn't work... although I used to do that before but it is not copying neither pasting!

Knowing that all tools/keys are working and the app. itself didn't freeze!

Do you think the problem is about the app. or the clipboard in Win2k? and what can I do in either way?

Try copying it into a Word doc. first. If you don't know how let us know, we are here to assist.

Lightbulb Could be Blaster ...

I noticed that this was a symptom of blaster infection. You might consider downloading and running this little tool:

W32.Blaster.Worm Removal Tool

It never copies.

I tried selecting the text, right-click then copy and then trying [ctrl+c], but in vain....

I tried with MS word & Notepad and even closing the program then restartin it again but nothing changes!

Oh really!

But I heard that its symptom is to shut the sys. down after a couple of minutes but my sys. stays online....

Oh I remembered another new problem: I cannot disconnect my DUN in anyway but when I unplug the Jack from the Modem, it disconnects after a few minutes...

Unhappy

I used that program and this msg was displayed after scanning:

"W32.Blaster.Worm has not been found on your computer."

But I doubt it's there... what can I do?

Thanks, moderator, for the help.

Question

What OS and what e-mail program?

Are you able to copy from other applications?

Win2000

The e-mail program is: Incredimail have you ever heard of it?

I can not copy from other apps. like Mozilla, MS word...etc. The only exception is that I can only copy from the notepad and nothing more.

Life sucks with PC w/o (cut and paste)

Oh I can copy or cut files in my PC between volumes or folders but nothing is pasting..... The paste is 'inactive/dimmed'

I had this problem a few hours ago then I ran the W2k setup=> repair. then things worked fine. Now it's back and I don't know what to do.

Anybody has a tool against a virus that might does these things??!
