214 done
Passed 70-214 on monday. Used up all but 5 mins of the time allowed . Had the same prob with Transcender, using up most on my time on the practice exams. Used the Ms Press guide, exam cram 2 and Transcender. I found the exam cram 2 book hard reading unlike the old exam crams. MS Press and Transcender were well worth it. Had one question in the exam to do with DHCP which I'm still trying to figure out why it was in the security exam? Also had a couple of questions I'd not studied anything about. So it's off to the design exam now(70-220), any advice on how much and how long to revise for this next one?

Great job!!!
220 will require a brush-up on security, authentication and encryption topics from 216 and 217, but if you passed 214, you should have most of it in the bag. Look on Technet for the Windows 2000 Deployment Planning Guide. Find the chapters on security. (11 and 17 I believe) These will give you the design concepts you need for 220. That was all I studied for 220, myself. If you practice with Transcender or some other legitemate exam prep software, you should be ready for 220 in a very short while, 2-4 weeks max. Best of luck.

I used the exam and course descriptions from the MS site. Reviewed 216 and 217 books for the security topics. Worked through the How-To guides on Technet for the practicals. The beta exam was 90 questions long and clocked at 4 hours, minus the comment period. I was happy to get the notice that I passed a couple of months later.
