Exam 70-228 Sql Server 2000 System Administration Book

Hello!
I'm currently new to the database field. I'm starting off
by reading the MIcrosoft SQL Server 2000 System
Administration Self Paced Training Kit, Second Edition
book. (It has a blue cover and states Exam 70-228)
I am up to Chapter 7 where the topic is "Populating a
Database". On page 231 (Lesson 3), Step 29, it asks me
to: "Select the SQL Server Meta Data Services option
button" while in the progess of DTS Import/Export Wizard.
Unfortunately, the option button for SQL Server Meta Data
Services is grayed out. I would like to know how to enable
this option so I can properly continue on with this lesson
and the rest of the book for hands on exercises. I have
followed the book as far as hands on exercises go. The
only difference I made was to install Service Pack 3a. I
have search the Knowledge base and the errata section for
this book. But I have found nothing. I would appreicate it
if anyone could help me with this problem. Thanks in
advance.

Hi.
They changed this is SQL SP3 for security reasons. The following info should
probably added to the online errata for the book.

In SQL Enterprise Manager, right-click the "Data Transformation Services"
folder and choose "Properties".
Enable the checkbox that reads "Enable Save To Meta Data Services".

Hope that helps. Have a good weekend.

Thank you Mr. Mickelson! I followed your advice and gave
that a try. It worked! I was able to continue on and
complete my lab successfully! Thank you so much!
