Windows 2K Advanced Server

Hi all,

I have a few questions that maybe someone out there might be able to help with. We are running 2K Adv. Server for our internal network. We have users and groups configured with shared folders that the users can access. However, when we open event viewer everything is fine until you try to view the properties. It makes a quick flicker when you try to open the events. Then when we try to close event viewer it says that the properties page needs to be closed

By properties do you mean event details after double clicking a logged event?
If so you have to close that dialogue box before closing the event viewer.

Check it hasn't been hit by the MSBlast virus.

Check for msblast.exe in taskmanager

event viewer

it hasn't been hit by msblast, it didn't show in the task manager. it seems to be showing up because it says we have to close the event properties before we can close event viewer. also when we check the Add/Remove Progs in control panel it doesn't show the programs installed. It has all the column names together with the close button say cl8ose in the button. I don't know why it has the 8 in there. Also when we go to check the properties of Users and Groups it does the same thing as event viewer. We have to restart the server and the properties of event viewer works for a few minutes, then back to the above complaint.
