On-Line Spyware Scanner Required Pls...
Do not mention Ad-Aware. That interferes with my anti-virus programs.
Or Spybot. That's slow to open up on my pc and recently refused to update itself so I removed it.
I have been informed of free spyware on-line scanners before but I've always ignored them. Now I need one and I'm stranded.
Help please...

Ad-Aware and Spybot are the two best you can get. It's odd that you have trouble with them.

And try disabling your anti-virus before running ad-aware. Maybe that will enable you to properly run it.

U've often thought about getting a new laptop to get over my probs but don't totally see the point. I am only gonna play around with the new thing and screw it up again.
The current installation was done not too long ago. I'm sticking with it as I have made changes such as new e-mail addresses, pop-up blockers and ISP's.
Am also on spyware mailing lists.
I never give up when I am determined.
Sorry for all the grief I give but I am always on the look-out for newer faces with something to give not the regulars of this site.

Point noted.
I will re-install both disabling my anti-viruses upon installation and during scannings.

I sometimes wonder myself

You need to reinstall everything. Adware and Spybot are the best 2 applications right now. I run them one after the other (they will freeze if you run both at the same time) immediately after I start my PC, with the Antivirus disabled.
And like someone said, you need to reinstall everything on your PC to fix all the problems you are having.

I prefer SpyBot S&D over Adaware, but probably only presonal preference.
If your system is not able to be restored - try running Anti-Trojan as well.
