Checkpoint versus Cisco
Hi,
in our company we're investigating the possibility to give remote support to our customers via adsl .The goal is to place a vpn server at remote site. Currently we're looking at the different vendors .
Does anybody have good or bad experiences with the above vendors ? What would your preference be , or even better has anybody been in the same situation ?
appreciate your opinion ...
regards
wim

Each one of these products has their strong points. I personally prefer Cisco Pix which it’s performance is much better than checkpoint. As you know checkpoints (depending on which system you are running it on) inherits OS security wholes. Also one big point, a lot of networks/vendors are running Cisco IOS Devices (different platforms) which makes it easy to interoperate with Site-to-Site VPN tunnels.
Kind regards,
Amin
