Nervous as hell!
Hey Guys! New here and I wanted to ask you veterans a question. I have my CCNA and wanted to tackle the MCSE track. I bought the Core training kit, 3 computers, router, etc...
What I wanted to know is: From an Administrator standpoint I rank anywhere from Beginner/Moderate. If I'm studying 3-4 nights a week at 2 hours a pop do you think I could be ready for the test in about 1-2 months?
Thanks!

Everyone is different. So it's really hard to say if you would be ready in 1-2 months. My suggestion, get all the hands on you can, do the labs and crack the books. Set your deadline, like you say, 1-2 months, but set an actual time limit. (Example, 1st week of October.)
And really, only you can know when "you" are ready for the exam. My first M$ exam, I studied for 6 weeks, 3-4 hours a night, 6 nights a week. (That was NT 4.0!)
Good luck!

I'm working on 210.
I've been studying 2 hours a night Mon through Thu and an average of 8 hours on week-ends as of mid June and I've finished the first part of the manual (approx 600 pages)
The second part is focus-in and exercises.
I do feel I don't remeber everything, so I will have to step back and fix holes.
Damn!!!!
I wish I could take the exam (and possibly pass it ) by the end of the year.... will see, let's hope for the best guys

Seems like I have been studying for the exam for years. Actuality about 3 months. I have read the book, did countless hours of video training. I am scheduled for the exam, but keep rescheduling it.
I am reading the book again, and going to hit up those practice labs. I should probably just take the darn thing.

You can always get practice exams to look at before you take the real exam.
It's a lot better than losing $125 for every failed exam.
